We are in Annapolis, today we went to the Navy-SMU football game.  Rick’s class (USNA”76) held a mini-reunion before the game.  The food was great, I saw a familiar face or two (exactly TWO to be exact) and Rick caught up with quite a few old friends.  The game was exciting, Navy was down 14-0 at the half and came back to win 28-24, so there is joy! Well, there was until the Phillies lost just now.

The part of today that I liked best was the National Anthem.  Every time we attend a sporting event, high school or professional, they always start the game with the National Anthem of course.  I always sing along, but I feel like I’m doing it on my own.  Today, when the O, Say Can You See began, the whole, I mean  whole crowd was singing.  Everyone was  singing full-voiced and the stadium rang with the song.

I love the military.  I love the men and women who serve.  I love the fact that they love the USA!  It will be such an honor to serve them through this ministry.
